L'Oréal Professionnel launched “Nabila Changes” - a literary and visual celebration of Nabila's 25 Years in Beauty and Fashion

L'Oréal Professionnel Pakistan proudly presented their first book release, “Nabila Changes” - a literary and visual celebration of 25 years of the iconic Nabila’s journey within the Pakistani fashion and entertainment industry at Nabila's Studio, the Commune. A book aiming to inspire, “Nabila Changes” is a written account of Nabila’s life reflecting her pioneering spirit, her innovative nature, her ability to discover new platforms and redefine existing boundaries merging hair, fashion and beauty through her lifestyle brand, ‘Nabila’. The launch of “Nabila Changes” is manifest of L'Oréal Professionnel’s commitment to encourage, support and build the professional beauty platform in Pakistan; indeed to celebrate and project role models such as Nabila within the industry in order to galvanize hairdressing within Pakistan.

Attended and supported by a diverse selection of Pakistan's most influential personalities from the realms of fashion, entertainment, media, music and business, the evening included an introduction to the book and Nabila's immense contribution to creativity by media personality Imran Aslam, who spoke of Nabila's 25 years of dynamism she unfailingly continues to infuse within this industry. This was followed by an exclusive book signing by Nabila herself.

L'Oréal Professionnel’s “Nabila Changes”, is a 135 page exclusive hardcover title. Divided into 9 chapters, the book comprises of a ‘Foreword’ by Zain Mustafa, project consultant for “Nabila Changes”, followed by an ‘Introduction’ where Nabila has documented how she started, her inspirations, her family, her first professional haircut, her lifestyle brand ‘Nabila’ and how she reinvented her own life. The third chapter ‘I’ comprises of images of Nabila narrating the movement of her journey through the past 25 years, followed by three personalities in Nabila’s life who add to her vision in the chapter ‘Us’, while ‘We’ focuses on Nabila’s work with L’Oréal as a creative consultant. The sixth and seventh chapters ‘He’ and ‘She’ respectively, highlights her work with male and female personalities including celebrities, such as the legendary Wasim Akram, Babra Sharif and Shaan. Nabila shares some of her best work with top models in the eighth chapter entitled ‘You’, while the last chapter ‘It’ showcases her fluid journey through spaces with “one aura always leading to a new era” as quoted by Nabila.

With text and editing by journalist Aamna Haider Isani, design by Saima Zaidi and end page photography by Amean J, Nabila Changes has been published with 500 exclusive collectors' edition copies. With the launch of “Nabila Changes” following the success of their collaborative “Rock and Folk” Show in 2010, L’Oréal Professionnel looks forward to continuing to lead the projection of talent, building a professional platform for hairdressing in Pakistan.
